Well the 4th of July is upon us. This weekend people all around the country will be shooting off fireworks, watching fireworks, spending time with friend and family, and maybe taking pictures of the firework displays. Me I’ll be taking pictures of the fireworks here in Stillwater on Saturday. I have a good spot picked out where I can see them and don’t have to be right in the middle of all the commotion that goes on at Boomer Lake where Stillwaters’ firework show will take place, but still get some good images of the spectacle. I’ll have the images up on my flickr, facebook, myspace, and on my own web site after probably on Sunday after I look through all my images and pick out my favorites. Be sure to stop by one of those places and check out the photos from this year and some of the other work that I have done. I hope everybody has a good holiday. Be safe, have fun, and don’t get into too much trouble.

Well I finished up my summer class and came out with an A. It was a good class I learned a lot about the technical side of photography. More about how the the stuff works then just how to us it. It was a very interesting class and I hope that the rest of my classes at NOC will be just as eventful. So now all there is to is hear back about housing and I’m on my way to Tonkawa to finish up my degree then it’s off to start my hopefully successful career in photography.

Ok something that I have learned the hard way. Is don’t trade in your old Xbox or any other systems games. The reason I say this is because if you are lime me then once you play and beat a game then you put it up on the shelf and don’t play it anymore or at least for a while. What I had been doing is once I played and beat a game then once a new game came out I would trade I. The old for the new aNd get a discount on the new one, but I’ve found myself wanting to play the older games, I didn’t have them because I traded them in so I’m now rebuying soMe of the games that I got rid of. I know I know it stupid, but we all do stupid stuff soMe of the time. So take my advise and keep the old games for as long as you can cause you never know when you’ll wNt to play those games.

I recently watched the keynote from WWDC. I have to say that I was really impressed with what Apple had to show off. First off the new Mac Book Pros look awesome. More memory, bigger hard drives, SD Card Slot, and Fire Wire 800. These updates are going to make the Mac Book Pros very competitive in the market. All I have to really say about them is I want one. Next the new Snow Leopard OSX. Even though it doesn’t have many new features just some small improvements. The stream lining, speed boost, and some new technologies they are putting into it. I was really impressed with upgrade prices for it just $29 that says to me that they really want everybody to use this new OS. I know I’ll be upgrading at some point. I think the most exciting thing they showed was the new iPhone and new iPhone OS 3.0. The new camera that does video, voice command, compass, coupled with the new OS will make the iPhone a major player in the Smart Phone market. Apple always finds a way to not only improve a product or product line, but change the way the game is going to be played. They also find ways to make me want to spend way too much money, but it’s all good because these are the tools I use for my craft. To see what they had to say in full and to see all the features of all the new technology go to the Apple web site and stream the keynote.

Well I started my summer class last week and its going pretty good. We’re moving really fast and I’m rushed to get the stuff done, but besides that its going pretty good. I did a lot of photography this weekend. Part of it was for school, but I shot a gig for a friends band. Those pictures are up on my flickr account. Anyways just wanted to post to say it’s going good and if I don’t post here for a bit its because I’m busy with class and trying to complete assignments.

Well the first day of my summer class went pretty well. It was like having a four hour conversation about photography which is fine with me. It seems like it’s going to be a lot of work, but it will definitely be worth it. I have two photo assignments due on Thursday , but I think I already have them done. I have to look at the images, but I think they will work. Anyways that’s all I have for now I’ll write again soon.
